On the afternoon of November 22, Zhuang Xudong, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Guangdong Provincial Meteorological Bureau, chaired a meeting at the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Sub-center of the World Meteorological Center (Beijing) (hereinafter referred to as the "Sub-center") to deploy work on safety production. The meeting focused on learning and conveying General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on the fire accident at the Yongju Coal Mine office building in Luliang, Shanxi Province, and arranging the risk assessment and rectification of safety production during the International Typhoon Training.
The meeting affirmed the achievements of safety production during the construction of the Sub-center and emphasized the need to implement and fine-tune safety production measures during the International Typhoon Training. The meeting called for the establishment of standardized safety management systems for the Sub-center site, addressing issues such as power supply security, water supply security, elevator security, on-site control, platform guarding, management of entrances and exits, and personnel management within the Sub-center campus.
Efforts must be made to ensure the safety and well-being of the training participants, focusing on their health and transportation arrangements. Additionally, attention should be given to relevant public opinion issues.
Guangdong Provincial Bureau leaders Liu Jinluan, Chang Yue, and officials from relevant departments of the provincial and municipal meteorological bureaus, the Huangpu District Bureau, and the construction team attended the meeting.
